We suggest that you stay the night in Rosarito at one of the many hotels within walking distance for obvious partying reasons. Hotel info: Rosarito Beach Hotels (888) 295-9669

make sure you call to book your room before they sell out!!!

We will be staying in the Festival hotel that is connected to the Rockin Taco. It has secured parking. We booked our room on the Rockin Taco side for easy access to the party. We booked for 2 nights (Sat/Sun) so we can recover from the partying on Saturday nite. We have a feeling were going to need it or at least Patricia will lol.

The Ride actually kicks off from the Chula Vista Harley Davidson store near San Diego where all the riders gathered.

Last year we rode down to San Diego the day before and we stayed at Patricia's relatives and then we rode out to the meeting spot at the Chula Vista HD store at 11am.

We will be doing the same this year so if anyone is planning on going or wants to ride down to San Diego with us on Friday (a day early) let us know.

Or if you don't want to ride out a day early you can ride to the LA meeting spot on the 30th MEET AT CAMACHO'S CANTINA/ 13101 CROSSROADS PARKWAY, INDUSTRY (RIGHT OFF 60 FWY BY 605 FWY) BETWEEN 7:30AM-8:30 So there are your options. (Patricia is a late riser so staying in San Diego is our best choice lol).

Now for those who have never traveled down south you will need to get Mexico insurance because your American insurance isn't valid there. It is just good piece of mind. And it is no big deal really. You get the insurance by the day and it is very easy to get on line. We have done this 2 times already with the same company and it was very cheap. We contacted them over the phone and on line and we got our insurance (very reasonable rates)in our hands in 5 minutes over the computer. Here is the address for the insurance www dot mexadventure dot com

If you have never experienced a ride south of the border then this is your opportunity to do it with a large group of people so that you can feel even more comfortable and secure.

Like so many riders we were a little hesitant to ride south of the border, but we got our insurance and we followed the pack and we learned that not only was there no problems, but the police and the people down their loved us. It was an easy and cool ride with lots of the locals waving at us. There weren't all the crazy drivers you in vision and no one trying to mess with you. It was just a fun experience. It was a beautiful ride along the coast and one of the best riding experiences we have had so far. Since then we have ridden back into Mexico to a ride down to Puerto Nuevo (Lobster Village) and Ensenada where we spent 3 awesome days.

We want to put the information out on this event early so that everyone has time to plan for this wild run event. We handed out flyers during Thunder On The Lot and posted them at several bike shops and so far we have gotten some great response so were hoping for a good turn out.

We hope that you can make it to this event. Mark n Patricia

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let those who ride (no matter what you ride) know that there is going to be a huge bike event.

The wildest ride of the summer is cumming July 30th. It is much wilder then Laughlin with no restrictions on adult fun like they have now in Laughlin and you can look at it as a warm up ride to Sturgis, but only hotter and just a little closer to home.

It's the 2nd annual Rosarito Beach Run. Last year over 200 riders rode out to cross the Mexican border and ride into Mexico to kick off what is now one of the wildest bike events south of the border. This year will even be bigger.

The riders were given a Federally escort into Rosarito Beach to the Rockin Taco club. The Rockin Taco is a sister club to Papas n Beer with all the same wild partying you can get there.

The riders all parked out front of the club for secured parking and they partied in the indoor outdoor club. There is a hotel that is connected to the club and several more in walking distance all with secured parking. You can even walk over to Papas n Beer or Senior Frogs around the corner to continue more partying.

The Rockin Taco was pretty cool with a place to party inside or outside where you can enjoy the sun and a cold one. There is a hotel that surrounds the back of the outdoor area of the club that is so close that you can party on the balcony of your room while watching all the partying that can only happen south of the border.

Our host for the event (Martin) was very cool and they had raffles, T-shirts (that everyone back at home wants) and give away stuff. The also played the best music around. L.A. clubs need to take a hint from these places. They really know how to throw a party.

We are hoping that we can get a great turn out from SLS and our Yahoo Lifestyle Riders Group and party down south of the border.

Dear Rightones,

So sorry to hear of your mishap. Glad to hear everyone is okay but our condolences on "the ole girl". Can truly feel for you. Especially so early in the season. Would have loved to get together for a ride.

The only bad bike is one that don't run. There's only one bike that likes the back of pickups more than Harleys & German Shepherds, and that's a Triumph.

Hey as a owner of a Kawasaki Vulcan I do not suffer from bike envy. 95% of the riders i know dont give a shit what you are on as long as you are on. Let the ride be your guide not the bike. Ride well and safe! Love mitch and Red

I agree, a bike group that shares the life style would be great, We have a Harley and a Honda. We ride the Harley around town once in a while, but take the Honda Goldwing on trip. In my opinion it isn't what you ride just the fact that you ride. Will be leaving St. Louis on May 14th for Myrtle Beach Bike week. Anyone want to ride along?
