...i don't really get the feeling management would be of much assistance... and i'm not really a 'get management to do anything' type of person. lol...
...i think i'll just post it as a thread, probably in 'getting started'. I'm pretty sure that's where I started to look first. ...maybe it will only be helpful for some, but that's okay ...now if i could get the management to do anything, i would make a request to have our email system ALLOW PARAGRAPHS! ...what's up with that?! |

Maybe it could go on the sign-in page. People checking out the site for the first time would see the link and know they could go back there after signing up to see what kind of advice was given.

Lady K, I agree that it would probably be helpful for newbies to have a ready resource of suggestions, and wonder if it could be done with the management's assistance to put it someplace prominent, not in the forums. Paid members could offer their wisdom and opinions, perhaps organized in spreadsheet form. We'd have subject question, positive answers, negative answers, opinions out of left field... LOL!

lol.. yea i just think the forum needs something about getting started in the forums as well as in the lifestyle... i would have found it helpful.
however... i'll just go with a thread and hope it catches on to stay near the top. after all, its not like most poster's don't have alot of good advice (for the lifestyle or the forum) ...to keep it busy! lol ...and especially .....since every day can bring on a new thing around here that perhaps a newbie should know... :) ...so were you talkin about it too the other day or was it someone else? |

KD, I've never understood why topics for newbies (e.g., profile advice, getting started, introductions, etc) aren't grouped in a section at the top instead of scattered all the way down toward the bottom. But I'm sure the powers-that-be have considered this thoroughly and have their reasons.
