I am wondering too. My advice would have been to contact the hosts and ask their advice. If their parties are just big orgies, stay home. If they are more of a M&G with some play, go!

Not all parties are ...everyone is naked. I always ask what kind of party it is expected to be. Many, (most?) parties have different areas and often one is for just socializing and not playing. IMO inviting new people to parties should be just that, and I wouldn't go at all if it weren't. I don't do expectations well.

Hmm. I guess I'm a contrarian.
I say, don't go, but do contact the host(ess) and explain. If you go to the party you will wind up explaining your situation in person to a variety of people. Some things, people just do not need to know. I mean, how much small talk can you do with everyone around you naked. You don't need that. Staying home from this party will keep your stress levels down. |

Of course you should go. Meet other people, enjoy yourselves.
Perhaps you should let the hostess know, discreetly, of your 'situation.' And perhaps heavy petting could ensue, assuming you're attracted. Let them assume you're a soft-swap couple with the option, some time down the line, of becoming full swap. |

Well we will be off to our 1st hotel party tonight, and have a little problem. Aunt flow decided to visit when she wasn't supposed to so now what? Is it okay if we go and talk with people and take in the atmosphere or should we sit it out as we have no intention of playing now anyway? Trying to avoid looking like the stuck up couple in the corner who just came to watch. Any advice on what to do and if we do go how do you bring it up? Thank you and don't be to hard on us lol...
