lol, the sound of crickets. Of all the great physical parts of playing, maybe my favorite is kissing, when I find a really good kisser. For those whose rules don't allow that, I don't mean to poke fun. We all have our boundaries and some of ours may sound odd to you.

Yeah, the no kissing rule was one of the 42 rules we had when we started swapping, I think it was the first to fall by the wayside. When we were newbies we felt there was safety in having lots of rules, they were there to protect us from ourselves. As we gained experience and confidence in the lifestyle most of the rules became unnecessary. Recently we were having drinks with a couple and they asked what our rules were - sound of crickets chirping...

It does seem like a stupid rule.
But then the LS has all types and somewhere there is someone else with a no kissing rule and they may get toegether. |

We know of a few couples with this rule. We don't understand it. It can be a mood killer. If you forget while in the heat of the moment and lean in to kiss them and you get a "deer in the headlights" look.

What we normally do is cut a 12"x12" square out of a black plastic kitchen garbage bag. When we are about to engage in kissing with another couple, we hold the plastic sheet in between out faces/mouths, forcing us to kiss with a barrier. And, since the bag is black, we can't even see each other's face. I am, of course, totally kidding.
