fje, agreed. I think though this is another reason why keeping your pics up to date is important. As G said, regardless you may miss something. Its like an employer reading a resume, thats all they have to go on in determining someone's character...and I am sure some good people are missed. But having up to date, accurate pics is very helpful. And simply being honest.

Passion Pair, good post. For us, initial attraction is a given, but we do remain open to surprises. And I think you're right, in that sometimes we may miss out on some great people when we just go with what's put out there on a profile. We notice that at parties, we'll meet some great people, click, the attraction is THERE, and we have a good time, and then at home, view their profile and note that it was one we might've passed up. Sometimes it's because there are NO pictures, sometimes it was because it was just a butt shot, which isn't always our attraction.

I have always taken the "No Ken and Barbie" to mean We are not Ken and Barbie. And the couples we talked to with that in the profile confirmed that is what they meant. Somebody seems to be awfully sensitive and should relax and chill, there is somebody for everybody.

I do not think anyone meant offense to you, but we all do have a right to our opinion. I have gone back and forth with Paradise a few times but still acknowledge their right to their opinions. If you want to lurk that is your right to do so but do not do it because you fear what people think. |
