I have a question for those of you out there in this world… I have been reading a lot of profiles and not sure if it is me, but they seem to be telling the story that they are not swingers, they are looking for other adult to go out with and to be friends with. Now I know might be reading into this, so is there anyone else out there feels that this has become more of a social thing then a sex thing? If so… my wife hates the word swinger. She feels we are more open-minded and enjoy the flirting and the possibility that it could go “there”. Are we alone in thinking this? D and C

At the same time its because of being with like minded friends that make it this way for us. Combine that with we have many, many more lifestyle friends then playmates. Being in the lifestyle is actually as much or more social for us then sexual.

Where we can let our guard down and have most understand that just because we are nudists, like to dance erotically nude in front of other people, does not mean we want to jump in the sack with everyone. Plain and simple it's a cool place to meet cool and open minded people. Some people, truly, just don't "get it" and do indeed think we fuck anything that moves, are always going to try to put the moves on someone else's spouse, can't live without sex at all times, etc etc. The list is probably endless. That said, we do enjoy having sex with other people, but we get to choose...we don't just see a naked body and jump on it, you know? We've made really great, close friends in the lifestyle...we spent the weekend with one of the couples and didn't really have sex until the second night. No big deal, we talked a lot about a lot, and we're so close that the guy (my best friend actually) and I made a sort of pact not to do anything sexual until our spouses initiated sex with each other and started things rolling. It was a fun pact to try to keep...can't say we succeeded PERFECTLY (there was some touching going on), but we did a good job of restraining ourselves, which made the sex that much hotter. At any rate, if any one of us decides to forgo the sexual aspect, it won' matter, as we see ourselves as lifelong friends with this couple. We met on SLS, I emailed them based on their intelligently worded profile, and after a couple of emails and a chat or two, we met for brunch. The rest, as they say, is history. You can have one without the other, sex w/o social, socializing w/o sex, so why have to choose? Do whatever works for you with whomever it works with best. Gina

While we're in this for the recreational sex, we don't have recreational sex with just anyone. As others have said, we have to like you to have sex with you. What we've found is that there are a number of couples we've met and have had sex with and with whom we've developed a very good relationship. In fact, we've gone on extended vacations with several of our friends and enjoyed both the company and the sex. What we dislike are those who think that some sort of everlasting bond has to exist before sex can happen. We think that's a little extreme. If that's what someone is looking for, that's fine for them. It's just not what we're about. I also worry about couples who must use euphemisms and be coy about why we're here. Profiles that use terms like "who knows what will happen" or "She feels we are more open-minded and enjoy the flirting and the possibility that it could go 'there" are red flags to us. We're here to fuck and enjoy fucking. If friendship develops, so much the better. However, it shouldn't stand in the way of nice people enjoying nice times together. If people we meet can't say they enjoy sex or fucking, we tend to be a bit leery of them. Just our take on it and no insult intended. Phil
