Try to give people at least a couple weeks advance notice so they can plan around other stuff and get a sitter if need be. You can still count on 1/3 not showing up because of vanilla stuff/sitter issues.
There are plenty of little things to be mentioned here (playrooms/towels/condoms/lube/etc), but the most important thing is having the right mix of people. As long as you have that covered, everything else will work itself out. People won't sweat the small stuff as long as they have fun with like-minded sexy couples. |

if you have bathrooms in bedrooms, i.e. a master suite, make that room an "open" playroom so that you don't lose that bathroom to shy people who want to lock the door while they play. you may have to take the door off the hinges and put it in the garage because shy people will lock a door even if you post a sign designating it an "open" play room.
went to a party of over 300, house had 6 bathrooms, but by 10pm there were only two open because all the others were in bedrooms which were locked while people played. DISASTER! |
