The truth is, even if you post NO pics, if someone decides they want to cause you grief, they will find a way. The bottom line is, proceed according to what YOU deem is an acceptable risk. Oh and don't piss anyone off who has a mean streak and the resources to find out where you live, work and where your kids go to school.

We do have an email addy that's exclusively for the lifestyle and that's mostly so we don't get our swinging emails mixed up with personal ones. And since we do this as a couple, we wanted an email that we both have access to. We have given that address to a few people on this site, but only after exchanges several internal emails along with phone numbers. If they give us their phone number, then we think they are probably legit.

User Details are only visible to members.	cplofun- we have learned (the hard way) to do all of our swinging correspondence on SLS. We did the yahoo thing and e-mail with a few, but we got an angry e-mail from a woman who asked why we were e-mailing her husband. We now believe that if someone wants a phone #, or an e-mail, or asks to do the yahoo e-mail or IM, then they are not serious about swinging, and very likely cheating on a spouse or girlfriend.

User Details are only visible to members.	Whether or not to blot out your faces is a decision only you can make for you. Some do, some do not. Jay and I do show ours because neither of our companies have morality clauses and so we are not putting our careers on the line. But there are many companies and professions where putting your face here could mean your reputation and career. Its all up to you. I would suggest however...if you do blot out your faces in general pics, have some available in privates :0).

If you're concerned with face pics being visible by anyone, then just put them in your private galleries and control access to who sees them. We've gotten emails from people who say they have face pics and would prefer to send them to us via regular email. Now depending on the type of conversation we've already had with that person/couple, that may or may not be a red flag. So for anyone who doesn't put their face pics on here at all, specifically in a private gallery, what's the reason for that? What makes you feel more comfortable sending pics via email?

As you can see we block our faces on the public profile, but only because anyone can get to them and we prefer to keep this part of our lives private except from our closest friends. We have told some vanilla friends and family who we trust, but frankly don't want someone coming from left field and making an issue of it. We have photos pending in our private gallery to share with people, and of course will share photos as part of introductions. It's all a matter of how you wish to protect your own privacy and I respect either choice.

" Well, M, we've taken many risks in our lives, but face pics on the internet will not be one of them. There was a local couple that had major issues and are no longer on SLS (and even had marital problems) because someone "outed" them where she worked. We are friends with a couple who contacted us, and they were extremely careful about opening their face pics-- they are teachers (imagine if the parents found out that their kids are being taught by perverts who have sex... oh heavens... we need to protect these kids!). Even though we don't have face pics, our profile is accomplishing just what we wanted, we are meeting some great people and having fun. There was a TV news woman who lost her job because someone recorded her, on vacation, where she was at a strip club, and took her top off on an amateur night. It's possible that people could find out that we are swingers, and the narrow minded prudes would hold it against us. Though swinging, or a woman taking her top off at a strip club are not illegal, people are constantly sticking their noses into other people's business. On the other hand, M, I sure enjoy seeing your wife's pretty face... so forget what I just said!

User Details are only visible to members.	We go back and forth too. Generally we won't show face pics until we have decided to meet, or already know (and really like) the people. It is a sad fact that not everyone is nice, or discreet, or Real. Some of our pictures on our previous profile were used by her ex as evidence in court (fortunately the judge wasn't hearing his BS, he had acknowledged they had an open relationship before, and he has his own skeletons). I would greatly prefer there was nothing "closeted" about who we are, but it is required. Look at the news for stories of teachers (ones who were NOT fucking their pupils) who were let go/pressed out of their job for having made a porn flick in college, or having sexy pics online. Gotta be careful.

User Details are only visible to members.	We have unblurred face pics in our private gallery, opened to those we think we'll be actually meeting face-to-face after screening them first. People who are just visiting the site and haven't signed up, even as free members, are able to see profiles with whatever pictures you've made available. For us there is too much risk that co-workers and/or our families would recognize us.
