User Details are only visible to members.	for us it wasn't as much the kids as the computers. Our kids are in bed by 8:30. So we now go to bed at 10 (although some nights I've just come home from dancing for several hours) 10-11 is "our" time when he is home during the week. Most nights that time includes sex, even on nights where we were too tired. That time whether it is spent fucking or not is more important to us then tv or computer. We get up at 6am I run two business both of which are physical, plus have to dance several hours a day coming up with new acts. We also get to go out together often. We are blessed that my mom isn't far away and will usually watch the girls for us so we can go out as late as we want or stay out overnight at a hotel. PG

User Details are only visible to members.	KD, good point! I forgot to mention date night. We were encouraged to do that, too, and even though we didn't manage to have a date night every week, "forcing" ourselves to get a babysitter and head out for adult fun was well worth the effort.

User Details are only visible to members.	oh Lord... you're not kidding. My kids are older ...and out of the house! ... and yet they still have a way of popping in at the most unfortunate times!!! We need to move further away I think... You are certainly not alone. This is why 'they' say to schedule it in and make date nights. I always found that easier said then done, but when you do do that, it seems to re-ignite a little of the fun and you may be 'less tired' another time or two during the week. Even if you don't go out, make a date night at home. Just lock that damn door! ....and there's always mornings. ;)

When we were too tired for sex because of the work we had done during the day, we made sure to at least verbalize our desire to have sex with each other. It allowed for reconnecting in an emotional way even if the body wasn't capable of performing, and sometimes led to a very welcome quicky before falling asleep. Even if we didn't have full intercourse, holding each other closely as we relaxed together in bed was extremely important. In a small way it re-established our bond to each other as committed lovers and partners in life.

Even when you wish you were in bed and having fun, or going out, you are still most concerned with their well being. You will never regret these priorities. You will, however, very likely appreciate the empty nest situation when it comes along.

By the time everything is done for the day and we get the kids down to sleep, we're good for about an hour of mental alertness. Sometimes it's less than that. Even if the idea of sex sounds like a good one as we have our clothes on, by the time we get them off we realize how tired we are and just end up going to bed to get some sleep. Before kids, even when work seemed to demand as much from us as it does now, we still had a few hours after we got home that belonged to us, and it was so much easier to have sex if we wanted to. What used to be every other day, or sometimes every day, has dwindled down to once a weekend, maybe twice if we get lucky with time. Who else is having the same problem, or had the same problem, and how do you or did you survive?
