I need like a 12-step program to stop emotionally eating. I don't know how I did it before, but obviously that way is not working anymore. "

I am this way in PMS week. OMG its like I am an empty pit and I love sweets like nobody's business. As far as emotional eating, I'm the opposite. If I am stressed or upset I will stop eating completely which is just as unhealthy for your body as overeating. So I can feel you on that. What helps me is keeping busy and recognizing my behavior. If I just ate and I'm thinking about eating chips I know that is NOT hunger, its me filling some sort of need. Its my hormones, not my stomach saying feed me. So I will physically get up and change the scenario, whether that be by going for a walk or something to kind of kick myself out of that habit. And simply NOT buying it works wonders for me. I tell people this, Doritos don't stick to your ass when they are on the store's shelf. I just do not buy things I know I'll eat, even for the kids. That means pretty much they do not eat anything with refined sugar haha and they get kind of ticked off about that at times...but hey, you truly and literally ARE what you eat. If you eat crap you will feel like crap, its as simple as that.

Tortas, I really do think that most of us live to eat, rather than eat to live, and I don't think you have to stop enjoying food to be fit. Food can become a habit - it's the habit that needs to be broken. Don't let it make you crazy, chica. One day at a time...
