Don't think about "Rx". Just sign up and try it. Look at the Open WODs last year. Even if you just do 1 rep you get a score. We had so many folks get their very first Toes-2-Bar during WOD 12.3 (the triplet), or their first chest-2-bar pullup in 12.5. People who can't do double unders got 1 at a time in 12.4. The first WOD will be something EVERYONE can do (they want to be inclusive, not exclusive, for the Open). Sure, we won't make it to Regionals/Games, but I look at it as supporting the team, and I think you already love competition.

Mrs. SVC - I figured I've got all month to sign up! LOL
Was not thinking I"m ready for the Open yet. Too many things I still can't RX, but 2014 is looking more likely. Thanks for the well wishes for tomorrow, I'm jazzed and nervous all in one!. Gotta get some rest now! |

3 rds for time:
7 bear complex 65 lb 800m run 17:48 legs dying, was chasing a much younger gal on the runs (she did 45 lb on the barbell so that kept us even on the lifting). IB2Y: Good luck in the competition! Did you sign up for the Crossfit Open? You should! |

Rest Day today, stretching and mobility tomorrow and my first Comp on Saturday! Triplet 1st: 4:00min each, :30 sec transition 500M Row 1RM Hang Cleans 3 Burpees/1 rope climb Amrap 4:00 FRAN Lunch then a Hopper after - pulling the movements out of a Hopper to build the workout - should be interesting... |

Skipped yesterday to spend time with hubby watching TV.
Visited Crossfit Seven after work. "Jackie" 1000m row, 50 bar thrusters (35 lb), 30 pullups. 10:25 PR! Worked on snatch. 3 x 1 @ 55, 3 x 1 @ 65, 3 x 1 @ 75, 3 x 1 @ 80 Then 8 x 1 @ 75. Drove over to GSX Crossfit. Worked up to 1RM squat clean & jerk. Got 115 lb, failed x 3 @ 120 lb. Then we did the CF Games Open 11.3 5 min AMRAP 110 lb squat clean & jerk. Got 9 full reps (failed the jerk on 2 reps and missed the last jerk when time was called with my arms just a smidge short of full extension). Tied my previous 9 reps done last November. 3 days of rest = feeling weak!
Lots of mobility for warmup. Stretching in CF Yoga class first. MetCON: 3 rds 5 Clean & Jerk 95 lb & 15 Toes-2-Bar, then 3 rds 5 Push Jerk 95 lb & 10 Front Rack Alt Lunges, then 3 rds 5 Clean & Jerk 95 lb & 15 Double Unders. First time lunging with 95 lb. Left leg especially felt weak. 18:25 |

Normal Warm-up stuff 2x
250M Row 10 Push ups (hand release) 10 Shoulder Rolls 10 Sit-ups Strength - Back Squat 3/3/3/3 20x 235/255/275/295 - no 20x I was gassed tonight. Just no stamina WOD - "Gran" 15-12-9 Ground to overhead (clean to push press) 135 Rx (I did 115 due to aforementioned lackoballs) Pull-ups (no bands, all clear of the chin! 11:11 Can't hardly straighten out my arms! LOL Love it! |

Rest 3 days (no more WODs while hubby is with me in Hawaii)
Yesterday was tour of Pearl Harbor (lots of sitting on a bus) Today is Pro Bowl (lots of eating/drinking) Tomorrow is ?sunning for a few hours then flying home (lots of sitting on a plane). Back to the grind on Tuesday. mrs svc |
