Another question I have: is it better to do work outs like crunches after cardio or before?

Losing fat is genetically determined.


Interesting, my tummy must be last on that list of places where I burn fat... :/. What is HIIT? I don't have a gym membership because with little kids it's hard to get to the gym. My "home gym" consists of resistance bands, exercise ball, and a stationary bike. I was thinking of getting insanity, or px90. Not sure though. Is there other equipment I need to buy to use those programs?

diet is 80 persent how you look... abs cut all that.

working out will build and tone the muscle...

the trick is to find out what makes you tone and adds muscle if that is your goal...

if any one wants any specific info feel free to ask here, i will do my best to articulate it in to typed words so that it can be applied the every day life.

For definition you work the abs ;). For flatter abs you lose the fat.

I did an 8 mile bike ride and 4 different ab exercises. I just read an article that said ab exercises don't burn fat but rather rely on cardio and dieting for flat abs. I always thought that the exercises did too. Hmmmmm...

5 x 2 push press at 75% = 90 llb
5 x 2 push press at 80% = 95 lb

Then

27 Pull-ups (chest to bar w/red band)

Rested on Sunday (ie. didn't go for a jog).

This morning:
Strength WOD: 10 x 3 Back Squats at 70% 1RM (160 lb) = 115 lb. Concentrate on keeping my knees out, getting low enough (hip crease below knee) but not too low (which has kept me from improving my 1RM).

MetCON:
50 Double Unders
21-15-9 reps
Power Cleans 95 lb
Handstand Push Ups 1 abmat (still working on stamina)
50 Double Unders

my workout of the day will involve lots of holding up my own body weight on a pole upside down tonight at the club, plus going into the splits several times, and lots of squats.
