Leg Ab. Day:

GVT program continues.

Smith rack squats 10 sets

Lying leg curl 6 sets

Quad machine 6 sets

Roman dead lift on machine today since tweaking lower back 6 sets

Calf raises on squad rack 6 sets

Oblique cable pulls, chair crunches, hanging leg raises

13,395 steps registered

another 45 sweaty elliptical at average level 25. killah! i miss the smooth stride of the ones back home but this one really pushes the limits of the legs.

one set max weight on each of 5 leg iterations plus back extensions

will finish off with today's allotment of squats pliƩs bridges & crunches.

jumping in the shower now to prep for a beautiful evening in paradise. thankful for the weather turning!

Well if I get up at 5:30 I'm dragging ass out to my garage at 6:00-6:15. Insanity finished by (depending on the day) 6:45 to 7:15. Weights then finish (depending on the day) around 8:00-8:15.

By the time I've then eaten something, cooled down enough to shower and put on clothes without soaking them through in sweat, it's about 8:50. In order to make sure I'm at my desk at 9.

5:30 wake up to workout. That's dedication. "VA, If you got the "effort" that's 90% of the battle." He knows..he's an athlete. He's just getting laid to much out there. Takes away that edge you need for 200. Great problem to have.

....it doesn't have to be "all or nothing" on days you're feeling off or tired.

my (115) day workout streak has included days where i did minimal (25 minutes) activity. but it was focused on fitness. i prefer fitness focused rather than "being good."

my 110 day squats challenge is taking (so far) 117 or 118 days (so far) due to sickness and a wonky knee but i did "something" on the off-days -- same can go for you with the insanity workout. ya get what i mean, leave flexibility for life just don't totally write a day off because you couldn't fit in the ideal for that day....

Time is always the problem.

I don't have trouble keeping it going for 6 weeks. But for 6 months? That never works. I think the longest I was consistently "good" was 10-11 weeks.

VA, If you got the "effort" that's 90% of the battle.... just give it time and it will happen.

It ain't for lack of effort. I can't say I'm unhappy with what I'm seeing - my pants are looser, my shoulders and arms are bigger, and I have got that slight cleft in the center of my upper abs now. I'm clearly swapping fat out for muscle. I guess I could technically keep doing what I'm doing, but to be around 210 at 6'1 and show a 6 pack would require a rather huge amount of muscle. Probably more than I can achieve.
