Yondude, it is more commonly known as a scissor climb. This video shows it, but on an 8ft pole, my poles are just over 11ft. poledancedictionary com /moves/58/cross-leg-l-climb/

it is basically a climb with arms only. The legs just hold you in place to be able to move your hands. The challenge is not only the arm workout, but keeping the leg straight and toes pointed while they are off the pole.

the move I mentioned before the Machine gun...can be done on pole or on floor. Have to get my upper leg straighter. Or now up there at all lol

That just sounds painful. My only record attempt at anything is pullups which sits at 26. And that was when I was much more actively involved in rock climbing during college. All down hill from there...

Once upon a time I was going to try for a world record squat (190lb body weight). Then I ripped my shoulder which ended me for bench press and powerlifting competitions. My pr on a raw squat is 615.

I'm curious what that is. I know what a plank is but adding the word "climb" definitely alters that for me.

looking forward to the day I can plank climb to the top of 11ft poles again. I could do it a year ago. Watched it fade away in spite of dancing just as much.

Same here. Last time I attempted a heavy squat my balance was slightly off and I threw out my back. So I'm much more conscious of that here on out. Still do squats. Less weight just way more reps.

I've never trusted my sense of balance to do very heavy squats.

Once upon a time I would do leg press at 990 lb (the most the machine would hold - 11 x 45 lb plates on each side) but I've never "free" squatted over 400.

It will come back quickly as you were very fit previously. Key is listen to your body and don't push too hard at first. Low impact first and build up from there.

I did however almost immediately lose 11lbs after surgery. Mostly organs that were many times the size they should have been and edema. I really need to lose about 15 more and get the muscle mass back where it should be.
