Squats, deadlifts, lunges (done correctly), stairmaster/climbing stairs all work the gluteal muscles. Will strengthen & usually give some good firmness/roundness to the butt area.
But if you are trying to decrease the fat then no exercise will do that. Fat storage is genetic (location) then diet (amount). |

It works your butt, as well as your quads. You can not spot reduce any part of your body (unless you're willing to go under the knife).

Squats and lunges. Nothing, not a single exercise that I know of works the gluteus better.
