SVC and Mrs Sav - Agreed! Never sacrifice form for weight/reps/etc.
I'm actually getting an ass! (instead of just being one! LOL) |

Stiff-Legged Barbell Deadlifts are also great, not sure if we covered them. Deadlifts too, I am sore for days after doing them. But that's an intermediate exercise, and you have to be VERY careful. Executing these exercises properly is of utmost importance.

Yes, weight lunges.. but like any time you do lunges, KEEP THE FRONT KNEE BEHIND THE FOOT (I get heebeegeebees when I see that knee go forward of the toe). Keep the weight on your heel and use your HEEL to push up (not the ball of your foot, or toes).
"Curtis Ps" also works the glutes, with a weight. We did a WOD with 4 rounds of 9 of these. Barbell clean, keep the bar in the rack position (on the front of your shoulders with elbows high in front of you), perform a lunge with each leg, then a push press. Return the bar to the ground and do it again. Demo: http: // w w w. you tube. c o m/ watch?v=uLff8fhPIQg |

I've been doing the Brazil Butt Lift dvds from Beachbody. Wow! They have really changed my butt. I started at the end of May/beginning of June and while I have lost about 18 pounds so far, I have dropped 3 pants sizes.

I like sumo squats, leg curls and stiff leg dead lifts for glutes. Lunges are good as well, I just hate doing them.
