And this is why BALANCE is a good idea. Oatmeal for fiber/carbs with an egg or some nuts for protein/fat. Fruit to me is the "dessert".

Typical breakfast for me (afterWOD): 2 bacon, 1 c raspberries, 1/2 c choc milk in my coffee. Today I had small serving oatmeal with a 1.2 Tbsp of raisins (preworkout). About 2 hours after I get to work I'll have a Tbsp of peanut butter to last me until lunch. Lunch (when in weight loss mode): Salad w/ the darkest lettuce they have on the salad bar, meat/diced egg, chopped tomatoes (or sliced from the sandwich bar if not on salad bar), couple tsp crappy parm cheese, vinegar, and some fruit (1 c pineapple or melon, or 1/3 c raisins if no fresh fruit on the bar). If there is a plain meat on the hot line, I might get that w/ steamed vegetable (I'm picky) and 1/2 c rice or potatoes (oven baked, not fried or mashed). Afternoon snack: if working out and postponing dinner I might have a cheese stick or a green apple. Dinner tonight will probably be Chipotle salad bowl (lettuce, brown rice, steak or chicken, tomatoes), pineapple (that's what's in the fridge), Chobani yogurt for dessert later in the evening.

@sardukar - Woo hoo!

Re: oatmeal. I don't know what it is, but whenever I have oatmeal for breakfast, I am *STARVING* by 10am and want to eat all day long. I am usually always hungry anyways, but if I have a protein-heavy breakfast, it's not quite so bad. But I struggle with being hungry all-the-time. It's awful.

"question???? oatmeal good or bad twice a day????????"

Depends. One serving is 1/2c cooked ~80 kcal. Fiber in oats lowers cholesterol.

I like it. Steel cuts have the most nutrition per calorie. Not so good if you dump sugar into the bowl.

Congrats on the results! What about veggies? What kind of oils do you use? Do you stay away from low fat/fat free products? The best thing is stick with whole foods. I can eat tons of beef as long as I am eating clean. Just remember healthy fat is NOT a bad thing!

I would change up your exercise routine? What about adding kettlebells in? It is cardio/strength all in one and works you way differently than traditional weights. My suggestion is to not pick up a kettlebell without proper instruction.
