User Details are only visible to members.	Sed, in short, not to take up too much of your time, but since you said that, what approach would you take for me? Do you think 13-1500 calories is not enough either? Not sure besides increasing my calories to that, increasing my water intake and increasing to more then 6 workouts a week, what I am doing wrong. I am eating healthy foods 3x a day with 2 snacks at the right times. I've cut out all sugars, artificial anything and all processed crap. I have been focusing on keeping my protein, good carbs and good fats in what I believe to be a healthy range, and only recently am thinking that higher protein, lower carbs might work for my particular metabolism. If you think I am on a starvation diet, which I find hard to believe since I am usually very satisfied, how many more calories do you think I should be eating and what else do you see i am doing wrong besides the things I already mentioned?

User Details are only visible to members.	Your weight loss slows down when you cut your calories so drastically because you are putting your metabolism into an emergency mode. You are burning muscle for fuel instead of fat. You are both on a starvation diet as far as I'm concerned. I'm not your trainer but I wouldn't take the approach that you both are taking. As to that Gat fuel, I wouldn't go near a thermogenic supp with a 10 foot pole.

Too funny, I worked so hard to become so reasonable and smart about my food choices and portions sizes and now I feel like I have to un-do it. Even if it's just 100 or 200 calories, aside from eating junk, (which I won't) I don't know 'what' and when to add something... And this starvation mode cracks me up too. How do anorexics get death skinny by eating nothing everyday! I never thought I'd have this problem...lmao. Eating too little, wtf?!! oh.... and about where I have lost it so far the most!!! My shoulders, my RIGHT boob, the BOTTOM of my ass, (Not the top!!) and my right foot. My shoes don't fit, LOL!! Thank God I still have a sense of humor still .... it's been dwindling lately, but still have enough to laugh at how ridiculous this has been so far...

User Details are only visible to members.	@kind- Why thank you! Oh no, I have lots more to go. All my excess weight is in my butt and thighs. (Side note - When losing weight, WHY does the fat come off your boobs first?!?? Argh!!! Just where I DON'T need to lose! LOL) I try to keep my carbs down, which is hard because I LOVE bread, pasta, rice, pizza, fruits, etc. When I'm good about it, my tummy is flat as a board. When I slack off and have a carb-heavy day, I'm bloated and weigh more the next day. Kinda having a tough time right now as I can't do cardio for a week. (I have a pneumothorax which happens occasionally. Spent the morning at the doctor having chest xrays, etc. Ugh, such a hassle.) Had a thought about your lack of weight loss.... I found that when I cut my calories too much, my weight loss slowed waayyy down. I actually seem to lose faster when I'm up around 1500. It's like my body goes into "starvation mode" and hangs onto the weight. Just a thought. I started out slowly with the GAT Jet Fuel. You can take up to 6 a day, but I started with 1 a day then slowly added. 2 in the morning and 1 around 2 o'clock seems to work for me. Not jittery or dizzy at all. My hormones pills make me waayy dizzier.

User Details are only visible to members.	Great job Wanna, 18 lbs is great! You don't look like you have much to lose. They say the last 10 is very hard. I'd like to find that out for myself!!! lol. I'm very rarely hungry unless I'm late with a meal or a snack. Altho, I've been carb cycling this past week and did notice on my no carb days I was feeling a little hungry ... not sure what to do about that. I think I was less prepared than I should have been with more protein foods in the house that I like. I have to work on this more. I lost a pound this week, first in 5 weeks, so I do think the low carbs might be working for me. keep up the good work. I don't know anything about the GAT, I hope that doesn't make you feel lightheaded.

User Details are only visible to members.	@kind - I hear ya, girl!! I've been doing almost exactly the same as you since end of May. I've lost about 18 lbs so far, but it has been a struggle. Peri-menopause, hormone pills, and just plain laziness is fighting back. I've been trying to stick to under 1400 cal a day. I log everything that goes in my mouth, track the carbs, protein and fat. I've slacked off this week a bit, but will start logging better tomorrow. I found that I can't go lower than 1350 cal as I start to get REALLY lightheaded. My exercise program is usually 3-5 days a week: 1/2 to 1 hour on the treadmill and then Brazil Butt Lift dvd (it's a killer, but my butt has seriously changed). I also take a Zumba class at least once a week. Hubby and I are actually thinking of joining the Y next month; then I can take zumba and other classes 5 mornings a week!! Awesome!!! Much rather do my cardio with dancing than zoning out on the treadmill.

User Details are only visible to members.	Thank you everyone. @ Noob, improving my health really is, and has been, just as important as my weight loss from day one. I track everything I put in my mouth, because when I don't, I eat more than I think I did. All my foods include healthy vegetables, protein and good fat and I know exactly when I haven't stuck to my plan which has happened occasionally. (Damn birthday cakes usually get me!)lol. I am actually very comfortable with my food changes and don't really consider it a 'diet'. I plan on eating this way forever, and life's interruptions will be part of it. I have replaced all bread and grains with SWG, (but am keeping low on them). I have removed almost ALL processed foods, sugar, artificial sweeteners and eat at the right times. The only sustainable changes I 'think' I can make is lowering my carbs more, and drinking more water!!!!! I am VERY BAD with my water intake!! I do have a PT 3x a week for the superset weight training. She works me very hard, makes me sweat, and judges my correctness, form and limits well, imo. She also goes over all my food tracking print outs and makes many suggestions on where or what I can change. She has been completely a Clean eater all her life and teaches me so much. Supplements.... been trying to educate myself for months now, very confusing. So I have just started (religiously) a multi vitamin and fish oil. A few others are still being thought about. Yea, age... peri menopause is not helping. :(
