User Details are only visible to members.	For me it depends on the time I got up. And my sleep quality the night before. Then what I'm doing in the evening. I can workout 6a then be tired coming home, and be falling asleep on the couch while watching tv at 9p. Or if I stay busy (like chatting online) I can stay awake with good tv shows past 11p. If I workout in the evening (4p, 5p, or 6p hard crossfit workout) I might stay awake late, or I might still be droopy eyed by 9p. Some days I have done 6a metabolic conditioning then gone back for a 7p olympic lifting (or 5p yoga). Might stay up, might want to go to bed early. Biggest thing that makes me tired at night. 1) just watching tv without doing something with my hands/mind and 2) high carbs (one night I had my cheat chocolate cake at 8p and by 9p it was lights out). Let's see how it goes for me toniight. I was up at 3a my time, traveled East two time zones and have to be up at 5a locally to get my workout in before work. Can I make it to 10p locally?

User Details are only visible to members.	@kind - For me, I can do treadmill at 8pm and still go to bed by about 10-10:30. I guess I'm just a sleepy person. LOL

User Details are only visible to members.	I always think If I work out at night I'll be wound up and won't fall asleep easily. Then I wonder if it may be the opposite. Does it make a difference for you?

User Details are only visible to members.	Late night snacking! Totally a weakness of mine. I usually do fine during the day when I'm working. (Hubby and I work together and we pack our own lunch and snacks.) It's from after dinner to bedtime that I have the hardest time. That's when hubby and I used to eat chocolate cake, pie, etc. (Can't even imagine eating that now!) Now I actually hop on the treadmill for a half hour/hour. That totally crushes my hunger. I then take a nice shower and settle down with my cup of peppermint tea and watch mindless television. :)

It's "too much" of anything." ---- ~I really used to LOVE to cook!! Then with the sudden diabeties diet for my husband, I cried when I cooked. Now, the kids are gone and I'm doing this for 'me' ... and even though its been really hard, I'm starting to become a little selfish about it, ...my cuban husband ate buckwheat pasta with semi raw vegetables the other night and I felt no guilt! We both agreed yesterday that the one great thing about eating this healthy, is we very rarely want seconds! lol! Excellent portion control!! (btw, that particular experiment was pretty gross) And ...really weird, I have always been a HUGE late night hungry person. (like 2 am!) Bad things, very bad things went in my mouth. I've noticed since I'm eating regularly all day long and I guess exercising more, I'm falling asleep earlier and don't contend with that at all anymore. I also wake up starving now, so remembering breakfast is not even an issue! It just seems little by little, some things are sort of changing 'naturally', and is ---easing some of the pressure. It's not as overwhelming as it was when starting. And again, food is simply NOT supposed to be what makes me happy, ~it is just food! Crazy concept i say, lol!!! :)

User Details are only visible to members.	This is so minor, but not to me: I've found a "bag" food that I like and it's just as satisfying, actually more so, than any chip could ever be. It's a little portion size bag of NUT-rition nuts: almonds, cashews and macadamea nuts. There is just something about that stupid little bag, I don't know why. And a can of nuts? no. I can eat a whole can. It's all about freakin packaging. I'll work on that one. It's more satisfying b/c it's still "crunchy" but healthy for me, and I'm actually supposed to eat nuts. And I like them. Always have. KindDragon, I appreciate you sharing your struggles and your journey to better health. Right there with you, maybe a few steps behind, but my mindset is moving forward. User Details are only visible to members.	You know Sexus, I spent my whole life eating poorly. I don't mean fast foods and boxed foods, but Italian foods have some pretty bad stuff. I have been a good cook since I was young, and when my husband got diabeties 3 years ago, (and is now diabeties free) it changed everything. And it was awful for me. I resented not cooking and eating the only way I knew how. In March, i read a book, (actually it was an audio book that I re-listened to quite a bit) And... It clicked!! And I was shocked and beyond excited. i never thought it would happen after all these years. I too, have gone for the comfort foods. I now understand that there's no comfort in anything I put in my mouth that could be bad for me. (a little still, yes.) But my whole entire outlook on food has changed and it has nothing to do with my emotional state at the time. If you've read all my bitching, my results have only been so so as far as I am concerned, ---but I still dont want to 'give up'. Not at all. I have had more -of a frustration to find what will work for me, but I have no plans of ever resorting to the self sabotaging ways I used to eat. My point is, if it could happen to freakin me, it could happen for you. I'd like to suggest to you what did it for me, but it may not work for everyone. It just happened to have been said in a way that I completely understood it for the first time in my life. And before that, my initial motivator was....... my 5oth birthday. I feel I have lived the first half of my life one way, it is now time to live the other way, ......because soon I will be dead!!! LOL! Really... personally, that birthday made me really feel like I am running out of time, so very simply, its now or never. you know... I don't doubt for a minute you would like to overcome that part of you, you just need to find what will make it click. So if anything, keep your eyes and ears open for that. New information, new outlook, new ways of hearing it. You never know what can make sense to you like nothing before. To me, my weight loss is second to what I have already learned and how I have changed. I'm actually passing on all this new knowledge to my family, and that is making me feel good all in itself. ....better late then never i say.
