I have PCOS and this is the first time I have ever heard of this. Can you elaborate on this? |

I have been working out on a regular basis since Feb 11th of 08, least 5-6 days a week 1 hour a day. I do different routines including eliptical, resistance weights, free weight and areobics. I eat healthy, finatically healthy. I had gained strength but but not lost fat or weight.. my appearnce hasn't changed. I decided to up my workouts to include and extra 30 minutes on my elitical a day. I gained 5 pounds doing this and got very discouraged and wasn't fitting my clothes. I since quit the extra workout and got back to my "normal" but its discouraging to get bigger when you work so hard to be smaller.

This can happen as fat (which is moveable--what a girdle moves) disappears and muscle (which is not moveable) hypertrophies. Your pant size bears only a passing relation to what you see in the mirror. As long as you are feeling better and fitter, relax and enjoy the ride. Tim |
