Ok, have read a few posts for motivation and to "kick my own butt" to get going and lose this weight, so now I have a question or two:
Since I tend to jump in too fast and then not follow through, I want to do this more slowly this time and have it last. I am walking, increasing speed and distance so far. I am adding more excersize to this. Are crunches even optimal? Do they work? Advice please (and please don't yell at me, I'm doing the best I can so far) Gina |

Good, solid advice, thanks. I'll take that.

Consistency...that's my number one problem in this. I'll work on it.
I might do an 8 week belly dance class this summer...in ADDITION to work outs, which I plan to keep up with. I'll post my workout schedule in that forum tonight. Sigh. I'm fine once I get going, it's just that initial kick in the butt to get going. G. |

JNb. I took belly dance for a while it really worked my waist. In the morning I still do the hip movements to workout my waist. But I traded the belly dancing for a personal trainer.

Exactly. I'll repeat what I've said before: the heaviest part of me is my mind. When I can change my thinking along w/ my behavior, then that's true change and it will last.

Bif.. I agree you need to start somewhere. But sometimes people believe that just cutting out food for awhile is all that is needed. I have learned if you want long term results you need to change your whole perspective on food. Not just ways to deny yourself food for a period of time b.c in the end your going to go back.
