Two weeks after my hernia surgery and being told I cannot do ANY abdominal exercise. What can I do to work my core without stressing the abdominal cavity?

Abdominal wall, (right inguinal) repaired with mesh.

How are you FL, nice to see you posting again and glad to hear your shoulder is improving.

You can do air squats.
You can bike, walk, row, stairs with no resistance.
Give it a week or two more. You don't want to mess with hernias popping.

In my professional opinion, you need to listen to the doctor.

As a friend, I understand your frustrations, i am in kind of the same boat as you know.

Remember, everything that you do, engages your abs. So for now just deal with it. The last thing that you need is to damage your repair. Let it heal.
