Our 15th anniversary was a week ago, and we looked at the pics from our wedding day.

My, how things have changed. On our wedding day, we weighed 570 pounds together. Now it's 350-something. We've lost an entire "me" and then some.

Still not exactly "fit people", but we're way happier and healthier than in those days.

Congrats! I'm sure you already know but please take your time. You'll know when you are ready.

HTOTD - neurosurgeon said the laminectomy went very well, that I'll be happy with the results. The tendons in my low back were very tight (no big surprise) and took him about 3 1/2 hours to get out all the cysts and make room for my nerves. Today I walked about 10 min around the block. It's been three days so time for my nerves to wake up and the postop pain to kick in. Three months with no jerky movements (i.e. no training, just walking and PT).

But I'm happy it's finally done and I can move forward.

Yeah the shoulder roll into a straddle split I did Friday was a bit too much lol. My left side said look bitch we ain't up for all that crap yet. Shoulder roll into a over the shoulder with the leg split even my brain said "are you crazy woman???" I didn't even try. A regular shoulder roll was fine.

Congratulations are in order. A great accomplishment for anyone and especially for those of us over 50. Now be sure to enter back into this slowly. Don't make my mistake and end out OOC for a few extra weeks. Getting old truly bites!

In spite of not being able to workout at all for over a month now, I have kept off the 11lbs I lost right after surgery. Hoping to get cleared next week to start back, I know it will be lightly at first, but this "try not to use your abs at all" crap is getting old. Although I did more then I should and they are sore today.

Now,that would have been fun. But having a college aged daughter it would be a bit odd to say the least...
