I am not on a specific plan right now.

I am changing my intake to more raw foods (salads and fruits), but nothing specific yet.

Right now, I do stationary bike for 20 minutes (about 4.5 miles) a little bit of lifting weights, and about 15 minutes of laps in the pool.

Really, my goal right now is to increase my metabolism and lose some weight so I no longer have to take insulin in addition to the oral diabetes medication.

I wouldn't quite call myself a fit person yet...

But I am down 12 pounds since I got back to the gym...

I think I have found my "niche". As I said in the other thread, I have clamped down on the calories and increased my discipline in regard to what I eat. That alone has caused a great difference. What I'm really excited about is the fact that I do believe that sports vs. traditional cardio is what my body really likes. I of course adore racquetball, we have been doing that. I have started swimming laps which is incredible and I already see the difference in my arms and back. Doing that, resting like I am supposed and and doing my weight training really has my body feeling good. So I'm pretty happy about that, I'm liking how I look in my bikini lol.

Fantastic M! Go on girlfriend, I couldn't do that even when I was in the Army and able to do 50 push ups without stopping! I could totally do one as long as my feet can touch the ground LOL.

I have got to get back in it. I have been really tired lately, thus really unmotivated. This heat isn't helping, by the time I get home I just don't have the energy to work out.

I've never really been overweight but I was out of shape for a long time. I quit smoking, started working out, riding my bike & really watching what I eat. Now I can for hours again with staying power (without rolling over and going to sleep) and I've lost about 10 pounds. Now just looking for new "friends" to share it with.....
