Thats great. I bought a nice stationary bike and used it one winter, after that it turned into a clothes rack which is its primary purpose to this day. If next winter is like this one I'm going to have to use it, I seriously have been paying for my no cardio winter for the last few weeks. I can't even believe how bad my wind is.

Mr.Toomuch, if Mr Uriah sees clothes hanging on my bike trainer....he will probably spank me.

What I have is a magnetic resistance device that I can hook my road bike up to use when weather outside is not good.

Mr. Uriah got my new indoor bike trainer set up. Now I don't have to worry about going to the gym for a spin if it's nasty outside.

@PG, glad you are feeling better.

The weight gain was pre surgery. But I still think a lot of it was my body storing fluid and fighting itself over the last year.

Pirategirl: That's great. You probably hadn't even gained any weight. It probably was a bunch of fluid. In any event, it makes you feel better and that's a good thing.

I knew that my new employer has a really nice gym that Tammy and I will only have to pay a $10 a month for each of us to join. Like the Wellness Coordinator, who will also be our personal trainer, said, "It's not 24 Hour Fitness, but I'd put it up against any other transit company's facilities." It is open 24 hours a day.

I found out yesterday that the company reimburses entry fees for fitness events such as runs and bicycle rides. There is also a wellness awards program to encourage taking care of yourself. You earn points by getting your regular checkups and doing activities such as working out or riding a bicycle. The maximum rewards add up to $300 and 2 extra vacation days per year. I'm looking forward to having much nicer profile pics on here in the future.
