I've seen it go both ways (I'm a registered dietitian so I've worked with this population both pre- and post-op).
It is a lifestyle of last resort. It's not the magic bullet. It forces a drastic change in your food intake (small high protein/no sugar meals). And if you do not stick with the program, you can eat past it and regain any (or all) the lost weight. Consider it if your BMI (wt divided by ht squared) is >40 or >35 and you also have other medical risk factors (diabetes, heart disease, etc) or morbidly obese and nothing else has worked for you in the past. -h |

at 200 and 190 lbs respectively, you are likely not candidates for something so drastic.........
just my opinion, and Im no doctor, nor do I play one on TV |
