I totally sucked ass at racquetball today. I am pumping water, I have been so busy at my office I haven't been drinking the amount of water required for my activity levels and I'm feeling dehydrated.

Haha, my girl meant that shit!! My desktop computer does that, it is tons slower than my laptop and I'm impatient. So I go click. Click. Fuck, hurry up, click. Jay the goddamn computer is slow!

Ummm, honestly usually I plateau because I cheat on my diet, albeit usually unknowingly. Like I discovered wine. Plateaud big time. When I do it the first thing I do is monitor my diet, see if I am enjoying one too many iced coffees. And change up your work out, keep your muscles in confusion. Other than that be patient, I usually would plateau and then just drop. I was a 16 for a LONG ass time. Then like that I shot pretty much through 14 and was in 12s....I think the body sometimes needs to adjust. But I'm not a professional so thats just my thought.

Plateaus are a fact of life. There is such a thing as muscle and fitness memory, and trainers will tell you that mixing up the workouts and sequences is key.

For me--and for many colleagues--high intensity interval training AND adding something new has been important in breaking through a plateau. My current strategy is working with the kettlebells.

It's worth noting that adequate motivation and preparation are equally important. That preparation needs to include adequate rest, nutrition and hydration. If you are having difficulty rising from a plateau, make sure that you are not overtired, malnourished or dehydrated. Overtraining is another problem to be considered. More and heavier is not necessarily better.
