Svcouple, thank you so much! I have a great doc who talked about a lot of what you mention.. Which makes me feel better. Got another headache after last nights workout.. But not as bad. I am going to start paying better attention to what I eat and drink, as I have never been very good about that. I guess I am getting older and have to stay in tune to what my body is telling me.

Glad you are having a doctor take a look.
Migraines can be a symptom of a myriad of issues: dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, aneurysm, even a previously unknown food sensitivity. Go with the first/easiest possible causes - ensure adequate hydration throughout the day (and the day before, i.e. all the time). Fruits & vegetables every day (potassium, magnesium, etc). Good source of daily calcium as well. Then have the doctor do a full neurological evaluation. If that comes up negative, maybe check out LEAP testing for food sensitivities. Look up "nowleap" on google for the website to find local providers. - h |

Glad to hear you are feeling better. My running partner gets a migrane after every long run we do. She has found that eating a banana has helped with the headaches.
I am the same as you all. I was never bothered with pain after workouts, but I noticed as I get older, my recovery is a little harder. Now that school has started, I wasn't able to run as much this week as I have been. Since I've rested all injured areas this week, I am hoping my 18 mile run is a breeze tomorrow. |

Saw my doc and we are following it and taking care of it. It will never cease to amaze me what wonderful people are in this LS who care even when they have never actually met!

Fun, it was traumatic. I remember my hand shaking so much that I misdialed 911. The painful experience changed me, I think for the better.
I was very fortunate to have supportive, caring family and friends. They really helped me get through the darkest moments. I was amazed to see the power of caring. One person, who I thought didn't liked me, wrote me a long letter which helped me. I became more empathetic, a better listener and more inclined to help people. I am also reminded to live every day as if it's my last. Mrs frnz- you mentioned that you noticed how I looked when I watched my wife walk away. Well, that's why... |

Damn Leeza, that must have been traumatic. Frzn, get to that doctor, and good luck to you.
My only bitch is that I finally was cleared to do an extended session on the stationary bike, and realized that two months of being sedentary has left me in less than great shape from a cardio standpoint. |
