only got in one day of 3 of my pushups. Life is sort of complicated right now, not sure if I'm even going to attempt the stress test and starting again this week.....

Oh Crap!!! Are you gonna stay off it now until the competition?? I hope so. I dunno why but I'm really watching injuries lately and may be projecting my feelings some.. but the overall goal of XFit is to be Fit, not hurt, right? ;-) Whatever you do .. please post.

I did so well on pullups last week... I had to rest for two days. So sore! I will say this,, if you hang upside down with the feet near the bar and slowly extend your feet out as you come down.. your abs will get a TOTAL workout. I should be good to go today for more.. yippee!

Alas, BLM, the soreness is from a sprain in the tendon that connects my upper forearm into my elbow. Overdid it on my power snatch last Thursday evening (didn't realize how fatigued I was when I went for my 4th rep at 85#). Iced it when I got home, then heat a couple times over the weekend. Vitamin M (motrin) and Omega 3 supplements twice a day. Keeping my fingers crossed I can grip the bars/kettlebells/dumbbells, etc this coming weekend.

Watch the shoulder PG.. ;-) Holly is the soreness from the flu shot.. still? I'm so damn sore I had to rest yesterday and today.. AND BOTH DAYS WERE FANTASTIC WEATHER.. for riding, pushups and pullups.. :-( But good for my 4Runner.. it's spotless and waxed.

VAbeach - you gotta do your goats! Don't "hate" them, see them as challenges and track the changes (the lower body muscles seem to show faster/bigger gains than upper). And core is so much a poart of the lower body workouts = great abs, stronger back, less injuries.

Working the anti-inflammatories this weekend and minimizing the use of my left hand/arm. Thinking running & airsquats will be safe to do tomorrow.

shoulder crapped out on me at 20 :( I did 22 fatigued Friday. The cut off between doing column 1 and 2 is 21 but I think I'm going to do column 2 anyway, 1 looks too easy. Actually even 2 looks to be less then I was doing this past week, but it is where I will stay until I retest in 2 weeks.

PG is in "injury time out"!!! I would skip today PG! If it's hurt/sore you aint gonna do your body any good by pushing it.

Hey VAcouple...I'm guessing most people don't like legs/abs cause it is harder to do than arms/chest. I'm thnking if your body can get endorphins from just some arms/chest then brain says, "just do that". IDK .. I will say this though.. nothing looks more odd than a guy with an upper body like Arnold and legs like a spider.

My bitch of the day:

I don't like doing my legs/back/abs routine. I just don't. I don't get pumped and feel awesome like I do with my upper body routine. I did it this morning and I just struggled through it because I just didn't want to.

Mind you, I feel good LATER, having worked out, and my lower body workout definitely burns/builds more than my upper, but why oh why after all this time do I still hate "leg day"?
