3 motrins should act like anti inflammatory. Omega 3 wouldn't act as quickly.
I wont try to diagnose the problem online. He needs to see a doctor if the pain doesn't go away. |

See a doctor, particularly if they're popping and/or getting locked.

Hard to tell, if the pain persists, see a sports specialist. See if 3 Ibu's would help though.

So I started running again (post hernia surgery) about 10 days ago and slowly working my way up and I mean slowly. I only ran a mile the first day, then 1.5 and was upping the pace before increasing the miles. I am using a nicely padded treadmill and today when I went to run, my knees were KILLING me. Now I am at work and everytime I get up from my desk I am limping like Chester from Gunsmoke. WTF?
So two questions. Why the sudden pain? Two: I have read about supplements for joint pain, are they worth looking into? |

S42 - oh noes, you got hit by Sandy? Ick.
Working out gets us ready for real life physical challenges. I sometimes joke that Crossfit means I'm ready for the zombies. I can outrun, jump, and pull myself up ropes and over walls. Hope you guys recover quickly. mrs svc |

Now think if you weren't as fit and watchful of your health? :)
FB: Day number 10 without hitting the gym. Sandy did a number on us for sure. Gym has no power still. But we certainly kept busy enough that we both actually lost weight as a result. Helping family that got hit pretty hard, volunteering, definitely takes it's toll on you. The power company is promising power to the gym in the next 2-3 days. Meanwhile, I'm going to use my treadmill and do some light weights in the basement. |

Sort of an FB...
Went for my flight physical yesterday--an every two-year thing for people who fly their own planes--and discovered that I have lost enough height to have been 'officially adjusted' down an inch. -Yes, we know this happens. -Yes, we work out 5 days/week. -Yes, we take calcium and vitamin D. -Yes, this is probably all due to wear and tear on the discs between the vertebrae. Waaahhh. Okay, back to work. |
