Paul,
Athletes should not really focus on BMI, ever. Body fat is what matters. At your age, you should focus on preventive medicine--keeping an eye on cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose and so on--and not perseverate on BMI. Measurement of bodyfat by calipers is notoriously inaccurate. There are better ways but they are expensive. How you look and how you feel is what counts. Feel free to PM me if you have additional questions. But 28.5 is just fine if you have been working out and feel like you are in shape. |
