Original Starting post for this thread:
I am starting this thread based on a conversation I was having with an individual in the "How's that Obama tax cut working out for ya" thread.

I mentioned that I find it odd that so many people are quick to point the finger at the current administration for the current economic problems but have little to say about the administration that just left the office. Are we so caught up in the politics of being Democrat or Republican that we are unwilling to criticize our own party? Whats your opinion?

We are a country that is built on freedom and the people that take huge risks start a business and try to become rich.

Government is so big and so intrusive that its almost impossible to do this anymore. The people who are starting businesses are either retail or funded by government (the taxpayer) money doing so kind of green energy scam company. Or they are creating new ways to gather all your personal data and sell that data to anyone who wants to buy it. This is how companies like Facebook make their money.

The person who started us down the road to big government was Woodrow Wilson our first socialist president. His policies caused the great depression and gave us the next communist president Franklin Roosevelt whose polices are the doom of the younger generations today.

Clinton stopped enforcing all the business laws to make the economy boom so that he could win reelection. The results where the dot com scam...free money for all...and the destruction of all small businesses that manufactured anything in this country.

The banks where i deep trouble everyone was withdrawing their money and putting it into the stock market so Clinton removed the Glass-Stegal law and allowed the banks to sell stocks. This led to the housing scam/bubble which drive up the housing prices and drained all the pension money out of the US, Europe and Japan. This is why Japan and Europe are in such deep financial trouble.

All the Clinton scams crashed and burned at the end of Bush's presidency. Obama is printing and pumping 65 billion dollars a month into our economy and holding interest rates at 0.

When the printing presses are turned off..and they have to be turned off we as a country are going to crash and burn..

i have three kids, what the Democrats have done to our country and their future is criminal..they all belong on a island that will be used for target practice.

@ do-do. If I recall correctly our current moron in the White House . Ran on the Mantra change that you could believe in. The idiot before him my generation put him in. Of course. Slick willy could shuffle the cards. We haven't had a real leader since Reagan and he had his problems too. You are a wise young lady when you say that it is greed. The collapse of 08 was nothing more than a ruse to squeeze the middle class out. I forget who said it it is not original from me but. Designed in brilliance ran by idiots.

Its not just medical.. Corporation greed. That's another good one. Outsourcing, double bills, write offs up the ass, ceo's and constitutes on an outrageous pay scale. There is just too much too list. I also can't figure out why we aren't looking to reserve oil and go green, be more eco-friendly. Let's minimize our reliance on oil. We should be tapping into new fresh ideas from cars, to building homes. We are stuck in old ways of thinking rather than ensuing new technological eco-friendly ideas.

Pee, This is do_do. Our country is in a real crappie situation! Is there anything you and I could do to make it less of a stinky situation? I'd like to think so but as anyone who has sat in a board room knows....there's something called "passing the buck". No one wants to take accountability for what goes wrong but there is always many people willing to point fingers and talk a good talk. We definitely need change! There are so many things that need to be changed. Greed is consuming the world. The healthcare should be a major concern as it is "seriously out of control". Implementing "Obama care" was far from the answer in my opinion. The healthcare system overcharges, recharges, supercharges and then bundles that, oh and times all that by 10. Oh, I forgot....you have medicare. Great add a day to you're stay so we can double your bill. Oh, I see you also have medicaid, with let's tack on some more charges.

Sounds like to me you might become a libertarian . As the greatest nation that has ever existed we have successfully elected the two dumbest and ill equipped presidents in succession .So guess it is us ignorant Americans that are to blame. It is said if Hell is what you want then Hell is what you're going to get Charlie

I think we should just have a Swinger Runned Government. That would solve it all! Plus, the meetings would require nudity.

Interesting since Clinton gave us a surplus and under bush we lost all the money we had. I am certainly no Obama fan I think Obama care is stupid I think the entire Bush admin should be brought up on charges of treason for the lies and BS of 911 and Clinton well its Clinton. Not my favorite asshole either

Clinton borrowed 600 trillion?

Wow. That's pretty slick, seeing as the SS trust fund only has $2.6 trillion in it.

Talk about fractional banking...
