The D/s relationship is all about trust and communication. You need to seek out someone qualified enough to understand that and not someone who just thinks its fun to use a flogger on folks. There are all kinds of scenes and play in our world and I suggest doing your research and make a list of what turns you on and going from there. A good Dom should understand the types of play you like and be skilled enough to test, push and expand your limits without crossing the line. As a sub you should look for someone you trust enough to let your only concern be doing whatever it takes to please them.
