I have a few knives and (I am also a kinky toy maker so have a bit of skill at sharpening them) a method of KNOWING if the one in the hand is sharp or dull is incredably important. The sharp ones used for scene play are few and far between they are used for only 3 things 1. cutting of clothes. 2. mind fucking ( such as showing them a fileting knife, explaining what it is designed for then blindfolding them, at which point a butter knife works fine (if it is cold so much the better). 3. Making VERY shallow cuts in the person skin (not a favorite of mine but some people really love it).
