Porn is one of the most BORING things I have ever watched. Same old plot same old story line same old ending... You seem to LOVE it, and watch it over and over and over.. PS, John Sayles has been making films of artistic merit for decades now, from Matewan to the Secret of Roan Innish and none of his films are boring.

Generally speaking, the motion picture industry is more about commerce than it is art.
Occassionally, somebody egotistical like the Weinstien brothers will financially back a project they know won't make money in the hopes of winning an award or two, but most movies are actually made to return the investment of the producers cash. And just because a film is BORING doesn't mean it has artistic merit. Just that its' boring. Taxi Driver, The Searchers, Apoccalypse Now, etc.. were all films of great artistic merit which also did well at the box office and were entertaining. |

Why would anybody want to watch a movie about a pet dying?
Or a kid with cancer, or an adult with an incurable disease? That shit ain't entertaining it's sad. And anybody who finds it entertianing is sick in my book. There are gonna be enough real pets dying in the real world, real children in the bone cancer ward and real adults with health maladies to expereince without paying for ersatz cinematic versions of this sad stuff. |
