Has anyone watched this new series? I was reading about it in the paper today, and it sounds like it deals with the emotional eating and food addictions more than just a work out or contest type show such as Biggest Loser. Is it worth exploring? Gina

It's interesting and kind of sad that I've always thought I was a bit (or more) overweight, even 10, 20, or 30 pounds ago. Now I'm working to get back to that earlier weight so I will look good! The irony does NOT escape me...

Because our society has turned the female body into a product...a marketable, sellable product. Mind you....not THE female body...a body type that is about 2% of the genetic population. We are taught that we are supposed to look like an 18 year old white female who has blonde hair, blue eyes, perfectly tight breasts, perfect ass, long legs and a completely flat belly. Brains not needed. Women grow old, while men grow distinguished. And every diet company feeds your insecurity. They are a billion dollar industry, and they don't get that way by making you feel beautiful. You are you. I am me. Yes, my ass is flat, my stomach looks like Freddie Krueger from stretch marks...I have crows feet and scars. But every one of them tells a story. And I love me. Love you.

User Details are only visible to members.	oh... sexus... i fantasize about (being at the end)lol of the biggest loser episodes all the time! i know i dont have the staimina to withstand such pain and torture tho. i think you're beautiful just the way you are! if you want to feel healthier tho and need to be 'forced' a little, arent there any short term fitness programs by you that you can committ too. i asked for a hardcore trainer for christmas... lol, but i want him/her to come here cause im too lazy to go out... im clearly doomed!lol

User Details are only visible to members.	i have somehow intertwined my 'self-image' with my 'body-image'... not sure how or why it happend. very bad tho i know, and has allowed starting this journey to be awfully difficult at times since i never had to advertise myself like this before.... i am clearly not a fan of pictures of me. but i do believe its very common in women. been thru years of therapy about it, and its still the same, ... so have now decided at my age to just cover or minimize the amount of darn mirrors! much less expensive. lol so in honor facing a fear every day.... here's a different pic. shhh. dont tell anyone. lol.

A few years ago, the great comedian Richard Pryor used to use the "N" word all of the time in referring to himself or others. He damned near died free-basing cocaine one day, and apparently had an epiphany of some sort during his rehabiliitation. Shortly after his return to the stage, he announced -- to a full house one night -- that we was no longer going to use that word that had come to typlify self-loathing of himself and others. I am a little long in the tooth to be a real dynamo in a FMF, but if I ever won the lottery rights to pick a pair, it would be you two. I would happily be the filling in that sandwich....so there... User Details are only visible to members.	I deleted the Heavy episodes...way behind and I just didn't want to play catch up on something that might make me cry. If I catch an episode here or there,maybe. I don't usually watch TV in the day. If D's away on a trip, I might watch some late night stuff here and there, so may catch a rerun. Has anyone watched the show?
