oh those kids... thank God we love them! lol
welcome to the forums Huntr3! :) I go through periods of accepting my extra pounds too. But I don't feel well right now, so I 'need' to change it. I hear you about the cheese thing!! I love melted cheese!!! I'm just counting calories, it doesn't cost anything to do that. And logging your food intake is a really BIG help. I just chugged a cup of water just so I could write it down in my food log. ew. |

I got really huge with kid #2 and after 9 years I'm still trying to get rid of some of it! And I do exercise. I do martial arts 3 nights a week, walk, and recently got a kettlebell. But people are always surprised to learn that this chubby middle-aged woman is a black belt! We'd go back to Weight Watchers (where we did have some success) but we can't afford it right now (and we hate to give up cheese!). I just console myself with the fact that, yeah, I'm a bit chubby, but I can kick ass and I'm pretty flexible considering the bad hips and knees!

Total, it was like 49 more calories burned with desk work instead of sitting! ..add on the mental anguish sometimes... it must be higher. LOL ...did you know that 'music playing' and 'driving' is an activity? I should be skinny. altho, I didnt see tv watching! lol. It's a good website to keep me on track, thanx for sharing it.
I've been told my habitual coffee drinking is NO water. ...just another bad habit. :( If I only weighed 40 pounds I would have met my water goal today. |

I loathe water but have found this liquid enhancer called MiO and I'm loving it. I used to use the Crystal Lite packets, but this is a liquid and so much better. Definitely helps get the water down... =)

A thin slice of fresh cucumber in ice water can also improve the taste.

Kind , put fresh lemon in that water. It's a great antioxidant.
If you drink tea switch to green tea. Eat lot's of fresh fruits and veggies, and Beans are you best friend. |

How you doin Scandle? :) hey Total... on the fatsecret activity log, can we consider time spent in the forums as 'desk work' instead of 'sitting'?? ....LOL I have found that I am most successful on the treadmill while watching Ellen Degeneris! She is so freakin funny, I actually went over my goal time. (not by much... lol, but it was good!) :) this water thing tho... very hard for me. :( ...i'd rather have an intravenous bag and walk around with a pole. |

I completely agree with your PT. People who do not consume a nutritional breakfast, people who do not eat for breakfast, are literally destroying their health.
There are several women in the forums who stated that they categorically refuse to have breakfast and their first meal of the day is sometimes around 1 - 2pm. Both want to lose weight, both overweight and will never lose weight until they change their outlook and lifestyle. I recommend an ounce of water per pound of body weight to all of my clients. |
