Welcome to the forums Toledo! :) Great job with losing that 40 lbs! Not sure what you might need to do to lose more. Maybe changing something up (diet or exercise) is needed. I hear that's important when one reaches a plateau.
I'm doing REALLY well on my diet change and my work outs! :) ...losing only 1 pound a week tho, and I know that's okay, but it just 'feels' way too slow for me to feel happy about it, and see or feel a difference. ...I need to step up my cardio on the days I don't work out! .. that is this weeks mission! |

I've determined this is the weight I was meant to be. A few years ago, I started a lifestyle change. I don't eat fast food, don't drink pop, cut out extra carbs, etc. I play in two men's basketball leagues (full court, 2hrs, twice a week) and hit the treadmill for another 6-8 miles per week with a little light weight lifting and swimming sprinkled in. After one year, I lost 40lbs and haven't lost an ounce since. I still work out, and am in great shape. I can keep pace with runners 10 years younger than me, but I can't seem to lose any more weight...

I can understand your soreness. I always tell my clients on leg days;
"I enjoy the knowledge that for the next 3-4 days you'll be thinking of me a whole lot" :) |

Just a little Sed, probably about twice a year I give something a try for a month or two, sometimes 3 (such as gym 3-4 times a week, or curves 3-4 times a week, and treadmill, walking, not running) along with some diet, and then I fall back into nothing very easily for whatever reasons...
In between times, I am very sedentary. Very. Thats why I had to do many things different this time. My leg work out was too much for me last week, but other than that I am going slow, yet pushing myself more than I am usually willing to do. |

KD,
If you don't mind me asking, have you ever worked out prior to the trainer? Have you done any activity, such as walking, biking maybe in the last say 8 years? |

Wingwoman, you don't have to duck back in, just come visit when you can! :)
Great goal for you! Much luck. Funny, last time I lost 10 pounds, I significantly lost it in my shoulders and my 'right' boob!! ...lmao! I was like... wtf! nothing from my ass??! not even one cheek?!! (oh that would be awful too!) lol. |
