Original Starting post for this thread:
So you are all clean and well shaven. Your sweety looks terrific. Your bag is prepared. you are going to a party tonight. You think there will be about 50 people there, maybe about 5 extra males just to spice things up a bit. Your heart is beating a little faster at the prospect of a new, fresh, exciting encounter with someone you have never been with before. you drive the hour enjoying the prospects with your sweety and then you arrive. Almost upon arrival, you see another ho hum couple you were with a few years back. You walked away from that time saying "Ho Hum". As soon as they see you they walk up and start chatting. Inside your heart sinks. Inside your eyes roll.......

Agree with those below. Polite "hey, how have you been" and keep conversation vanilla. Then say "nice seeing you again" and move on. If pressed, simply say thanks, but you are looking for new friends tonight.

Humor is what keeps most of us going :). A good session of laughter is priceless! --------------------------- Agreed! A night of fun and laughter is ALMOST, mind you Almost as good as a night of sex and debauchery.

Ok, not really, but it's right up there!

Make polite small talk, excuse yourself to make sure you say hello to the host and go mingle.

After a polite chit chat, cut to the chase, tell them they suck at fucking and walk away!

Be polite, make some very limited small talk, tell them it was nice seeing them again, and move on. Acting interested or spending more than a couple of minutes with them would send them the wrong message.

Chat with them for a few moments excuse myself to go get some refreshments or something like that same as I would at a vanilla party. Life is too short to deal with ho hum.
