We don't bother with Free Members either. Our thought is that if this is truly a hobby for you you'd make the investment in your past time. Rather like Golf, seems silly to be an avid golfer and not own your own golf shoes.

I blocked free members... After the umpteenth email, telling me that they would like to meet, but they would like to see some pictures, and their email is so and so, I just blocked them. Annoying. No picture is safe anywhere on the internet, but especially a picture that you send to someone! |

My profile is almost always blocked to free members. I probably miss out on something here or there, but it's not worth dealing with all the fakes and flakes.

We don't exclude free members, but we definitely put more weight into communications with paid members.

I've had a free single profile on sls for years. I've met some great people through here that took a chance on contacting a free member. Of course I've also been contacted by single males that only want sex...but that leads to other threads pertaining to rudeness of not returning emails. I've seen no reason as a single female to get a paid membership. I have run up against the email limits at times but nothing I haven't been able to work around.
