User Details are only visible to members.	I agree with sweettart and blue24199. Sex is fun; it’s a hobby and like any fun hobby it’s a vehicle to make friends. One doesn’t become friends with everyone in the hobby, but friends do gather and do things other than the interest that brought them together. We’ve been boating, kayaking, fishing, camping and horseback riding with our friends. We treasure our friendships and we’re also there to help when there is a need.

For us if it wasn't that there are some things you can't do with just two bodies in we would just fine with only having sex with each other. for us it just entertainmant, no different than going to the movies or a concert.

User Details are only visible to members.	My wife and I do not have a problem with either of us playing with friends while the other is away. When we’re together; we like to share our lives with one another totally. We love our friends, but we prefer the best (each other). Because of our understanding, if one of our friend’s spouses is away, we don’t stop swinging with either of them. Once you’re a friend; you’re a friend; with or without your spouse. Our understanding extends to casual hookups when traveling alone (such as on business). Another exception we like making is when a couple we know wants to have a threesome (like a birthday present). We don’t consider ourselves in an open relationship, being swingers or lifestylers. The first two don’t seem to have the intimacy we desire for one another or with our friends. Swinging lifestyle…I don’t get it. When I owned horses that was a lifestyle: training, riding, buying, selling, health care, attending lessons and events, reading, maintaining tack, bush hogging, dragging the pasture, putting up bales of hay for the winter, feeding twice a day. I don’t think I want anything to do with anymore lifestyles….they’re just too consuming. Open relations are just too shallow for us. We can’t imagine spending extensive time with anyone else. We think that polys, swingers and lifestylers have intimacy problems and that’s why sex is at the top of their list. So many are “hit and run.” Sex is just another renewable/repeatable resource we enjoy with our friends just like dining, dancing, fishing, and boating. For us laughter trumps sex everytime. I guess we share a boat spaces with “sweetart” and “lacouple1989.”

User Details are only visible to members.	A friend of ours is here this week that we knew in VA. The couple is one of our favorite swing couples and friends. We're leaving it open as far as any playtime, as she's spending the night with us tonight. So, yes, her husband has total knowledge, and we all have that "understanding" that if we're around, if things go that way, then go for it. We don't push it, we don't "expect" it, if it happens, it happens. And we're all fine w/ it. Because of the whole acceptance, and ENCOURAGEMENT, then it will in no way jeopardize our friendship, which is important to us. Gina PS I'll report back and let you know.

I have, on occasion, gone to a party with a FWB at my husband's suggestion (he isn't into the parties). Please don't assume that those of us who are in an Open Marriage aren't in a happy marriage. Yes, my husband and I have different sex drives, he has medical conditions that cause his... I'm just horny. Instead of allowing it to drive our marriage apart, we've chosen to not allow SEX to drive us apart.
