What would be an even bigger question to me is how many different dialects of each language that there are.
For example, one word in spanish spoken to a mexican, cuban, puerto rican, or Nicaraguan could have a completely different meaning. Zo. |

I lived for 14 years within an hour's drive of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Lots & lots of "Quebecois" came across the border every weekend. We received several French-speaking TV channels from Montreal. Between marriages I dated a stunningly beautiful French-Canadian lady who owned & was chef of her own French Restaurant in northern New York State. She spoke English too, but I made it a point to learn to speak French.
I ate well in those days! LOL Jim |

Gosh, Poly, and in your post in the thread to which you refer you yourself said that people consider you to be shallow, but you don't care. I guess apparently you DO care, don't you? I guess that makes you a hypocrite, doesn't it? Saying one thing and proving another. And a hypocrite is what you said you weren't, isn't it?
