Hear, hear SNT, You are as eloquent as you are beautiful. You've bridged the gap and said what I dreamed of saying.

By the way, I like your profile and pictures; it's a perfect mix of titillation, sexiness, and fun. I am definitely taking notes!

Mercy B, I love the way you think and write. You give as good as you get with these crazies in here.

Well, not ALL of them are crazies, maybe I was generalizing.

There are all sorts of stereotypes; there's usually a base reason for them. I can only speak to my own from a white woman in her 50s point of view. So, in that frame, MOST of us are pretty secure in what we want, what we don't, and what is "expected" of us. It's fun to break the molds, but you have to sort of define those molds in order to break them. That's what stereotypes and generalizations do. The bad thing about them is when people get stuck in a belief and have no room for deviation or variety or change from the thinking surrounding each.

Gina, not too ashamed to be thick, at least it's in body and not my head.

"Using words like "most" points to a level of generalization and stereotype."

It would have if I had used "most" as applied to the general population. I applied it only to the women in my own experience, which is not a projection, but a fact.

"Should I stereotype or generalize anything from that?"

You already have. Using words like "most" points to a level of generalization and stereotype. Like I said, it's not all bad. We do it subconsciously. It's personal and anecdotal and it helps us to explain an object's (events, people, situations, places) relationship to us - i.e. our paradigm about that object.

Once we reach adulthood, we take very few objects as they come unless they are thrust upon us.
