Well, not ALL of them are crazies, maybe I was generalizing. There are all sorts of stereotypes; there's usually a base reason for them. I can only speak to my own from a white woman in her 50s point of view. So, in that frame, MOST of us are pretty secure in what we want, what we don't, and what is "expected" of us. It's fun to break the molds, but you have to sort of define those molds in order to break them. That's what stereotypes and generalizations do. The bad thing about them is when people get stuck in a belief and have no room for deviation or variety or change from the thinking surrounding each. Gina, not too ashamed to be thick, at least it's in body and not my head.

Like I said, it's not all bad. We do it subconsciously. It's personal and anecdotal and it helps us to explain an object's (events, people, situations, places) relationship to us - i.e. our paradigm about that object. Once we reach adulthood, we take very few objects as they come unless they are thrust upon us.
