Hi, we are Dave and Chel from New York, and we will be relocating to the Doraville, Georgia area for work... this is the only place we felt we could come to find out an honest answer. We are looking into all the aspects of the area, and have looked in the northern Fulton county, Gwinnett county, and DeKalb county areas and cannot find anything about the public school systems. If anyone has any opinions about their school district in these areas, we would greatly appreciate it if you could email us or respond here. (Also if anyone knows of a patient realtor we would love to know one of those too). Thanks so much for reading our post and probably getting a good laugh at the fact that we are writing it here..lol! We haven't ruled out the others, but with what the school systems offer, we are focusing on these two areas. When I get the call to join you all in Ga, I will post again...lol and then you can tell us where the best clubs are! Wooohooo! Can't wait to party with all of you wonderful people! First I must say thank you so very much to all of you who have taken the time out of your busy days to write and give us so much information! You have all been wonderful and so kind! It makes us want to get there even sooner than work will allow! To answer some of the questions, we are looking for an Elementary school that will provide an excelled learning environment for our 7 year old who is currently in first grade. Our seventh grader who struggles with school needs a caring and understanding kind of staff that will give her the push she needs to put her brain to good use. She will be entering 8th grade in the fall, so we are also looking into the high school that she would attend as a freshman. Yes, Private schools are an option, so if you know of any of those, you can let us know by writing or posting that too! Traffic... yuck...lol! We were brought up in the country, live in a small city where the traffic is only heavy from 9-9:30 and 5-6:30...lol! Our children walk to school, and we have a "corner store" lol! Thanks to all! User Details are only visible to members.	welcome to atl. its a great place to live..but---traffic is horrible so move in as close as you can to work.....all realtors will say the school systems are great in that area (whateverone your looking in) but few are... georgia ranks 49th in the country so check very carfully for goodness sake. or put them in a good private school ... hope this helps
