As a married natural Alpha Male who plays both with My wife and on My own, I truly enjoy sites like this, both for the ability to meet new subs to train and play with, and also for the often outstanding stories I find here. Since most of My and our relationships at least start on this site, there is always a period in which our relationships are strictly virtual, and being able to browse a wide variety of well written stories together to narrow down areas of common interest and possible play can be both valuable and very satisfying!
I marvel at the range of subject matters and writing styles, and also at the range of writing and story-telling abilities on display here. Some are truly cock-stirring -- well written and well-expressed, both in detail and emotion, almost pulling the reader into the action. Others are clearly hot, but difficult to read or maintain focus on, because of poor writing or story organization. And, sadly, there are also some that leave Me shaking My head wondering why someone would share such poorly crafted material.
And when I find Myself confronting such a piece of work, I am forced to smile and remind Myself of truths I know from My own experiences as a Dom. How important it is that both partners be able to communicate clearly, so that the exchange of power remains mutually enjoyable and safe. How, especially for the sub, if you are not sure, you should probably throw up a flag on the action, and take the time to make sure that you are okay with what is happening before continuing on with a scene. How there needs to be a sense of self-discipline before you can allow someone else to provide external discipline for you, how you have to make sure your story is told well for people to understand your experience the way you do. And how seriously I take everything I do, as an Alpha, and how others do not automatically share that need for or pride in sharing their best efforts.
I am also grateful for the clearly expressed rules for story content spelled out appropriately on the page for us to follow in our own submissions. These are the "hard limits" -- the absolutes that will shut a scene or a story down. Of course, it is human nature that some, upon seeing rules that clearly spell out things that are forbidden, are drawn immediately to see if they can get around the prohibition. Which is why a) such people should never be allowed to be in power positions, responsible for someone else, and b) even a well-run site like this one needs someone to keep an eye on things, for the protection of all.
Lately, there have been several examples of stories which seek to blur at least one of the lines that are forbidden in the rules -- the prohibition on r*pe (and I am amused that the word itself will automatically appear with an asterisk in place of the "a" once this is published). While none of these stories have reached full-blown r*pe in their depictions, they have clearly trod across My own personal demarcation line for consent in My own play, which creates a level of unease for Me, that I trust is shared by others, and concern for the readers and writers of those pieces. I would hope that our hosts here might reconsider how they express this hard limit in the rules, giving us a little more explication of what is and is not acceptable, and a little more direction in items which they do not allow to remain on the site. Because I have seen other kink sites that failed to take this obligation seriously that became cess pools, or even had to close, because predators began to use the site to solicit victims.
Even more troubling, in the last month, there have been three separate postings (two, admittedly, are variations on the same post) which, by any casual reading, clearly transgress the prohibition regarding sex with minors. Having spent time as a proof-reader, I know how challenging it is to be responsible for every word of content on a page like this. As an Alpha, I see external discipline as a last resort. And, as a subscriber, and occasional contributor to this page, I would chafe like fuck at having My own words censored, even if the action was deserved.
However, rules are rules, especially these very basic and obvious essential hard boundaries that limit our expectations and protect us as users. There is a clear responsibility on us as readers to bring material that crosses the lines to the attention of the powers-that-be, as well as a promise from them that they will remove offending material when they are made aware of it. However, as of the time of My writing these words, despite several clicks for each of these stories on the "report" button, the offending material has NOT been removed. And this is NOT the first time that I am personally aware of this process dragging on for too long before offending material is removed.
On July 7th, 2 different versions of a story appeared, one called "Sonf [sic] Prom Date," and the other "Untitled." In this retold story, a father's sexual episode with his wife, spurred by the noise of his (presumably) of age high school senior son and the son's younger girlfriend, who were forced to miss the prom because she was suspended, is interrupted by the end of the younger couple's session, and her request to be driven home. The already implied violation of the rules of the page in that description are taken explicitly further when the father's erection is noticed in the car by the son's girlfriend, who takes matters into her own hands, and multiple other parts of her body. Both of those versions of the story are still sitting on the site, unremoved.
A few days ago, on the 19th, an admittedly fantasy trilogy with the common title "Never Saw This Cumming" appeared. Written in 3 parts, it was the story of a couple, each with a child from previous relationships, and with a child together, all now in their teens, taking advantage of having more freedom to be themselves (and not parents) by having an adventure at a rather unique club one evening. The reason for 3 parts to the story is the wrinkle that, at this club, there are unique experiences individual to each member of this couple in entering the main club (parts 1 and 2), before they meet up inside and continue their explorations together (part 3).
In Part 3, the writer raises the "consent" issue, by describing a quirk of this club going out and finding virgins on the street and paying them to come in and give up their virginity to anonymous club goers, after which, they are then further used by the regulars, not clearly with their knowledge and consent. The lack of a definition of r*pe on the site and the vague details here make this concerning, but not a clear violation.
But, when it turns out that one of the anonymous male partners enjoyed by the wife was their 18 year old son -- unknown to her, but definitely known to him -- we have another possible flag that is NOT prohibited on the site being raised, namely, incest. But worse, the reason given for the the son's actions is because the husband had earlier deflowered one of the virgins -- the son's girlfriend! And so the son decide to get even with the father by taking his woman in return. Here is where things clearly, but craftily, cross the line -- in Part one, the virgin girlfriend is clearly identified as being und*rage, a fact that is then left to the reader's memory and never raised again, especially when we find out she was sexually active in Part 3 (after the fact).
The depth to which this author went to make these details explicit, while hiding them from possible penalty, makes it hard not to jump to the conclusion that the effort was deliberate, and that the forbidden nature of the acts, at least in the rules of the page, was a significant part of the admitted fantasy story he was creating. And yet, this trilogy, despite multiple reports, also still sits on the page, available for anyone to read.
I hope and trust that I am neither the only one to notice these transgressions and be concerned by them, nor the only one to report them -- if I am, there are other issues here! But even if I am, the rules are clear, and need to be enforced. The fact that the report button does NOT allow us, as reporters, to help the censors to find the offenses is something that might need to be corrected, to allow a report to give specifics. If the rules exist for a reason -- and I hope we can agree that they do serve a necessary and important purpose in establishing our collective values and limits as a community -- the enforcement must be followed, quickly and unambiguously, at the very least so energy does not have to be spent as I have just done to make the problems clearly known.
Because I would rather be writing and reading about the sexual and pseudo-sexual relationship details of a natural Alpha and his play partners than about this subject, wouldn't you all?
